Welcome to The Electric Current Rundown podcast episode number 77.

I’m your host, Phil Defiance, and I’ll always say that I’m here to encourage the spread of intriguing knowledge that can spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world.

And what I’m gonna be talking about in this episode includes quick programming notes, and then a narrative of different commercial shoe options and brands and even comparisons.

Then I’m gonna talk about US tourists arrested after allegedly attempting to contact the world’s most isolated tribe.

So when it comes to quick programming notes, a couple episodes back I mentioned that I’m gonna start doing a rehash of like one topic from some of my very most popular episodes of the past, but I haven’t gotten around to fully doing that because like I’ve mentioned, I do batches of five in recordings and I have to do more Excel based assessing of those like view counts to find those most like extremely most popular episodes that were really spiked like big spike view counts on those ones.

And that’s what I’m still in the process of doing.

So I’m not doing one rehash this batch of five because that’s how I’m gonna do it.

Like I’m gonna do one rehash on one of the episodes of one of the topics from one of those most popular episodes.

But I’m not doing that this time.

I’m gonna start doing that next time because I’m still in that assessment phase.

Then I’m also gonna have to mention how, yeah.

So I try to hit targets of like 15 minutes, 10 minutes and five minutes on the three episodes I post each week.

And sometimes I actually hit those targets or get close to them.

Sometimes I go quite above that.

I mean, take it as you get them because I mean, surely a lot of people might like it when I do longer episodes and I can understand why.

But sometimes I’m gonna do it not as long.

And so just take it as you get it because I mean, sometimes I’m gonna hit targets or get close to that.

Other times I’m gonna do extra long episodes and it just comes naturally.

I mean, I don’t really plan how much longer than my original plan.

And the episodes become, they just happen that way.

So I just want to make that note.

But either way, also, I also want to say, yeah, I mentioned that I’m gonna try to start posting on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, how I originally was doing it.

And I’m gonna try doing that sometime.

But like, I mean, I can’t give assurances as to when I’m gonna start doing it that way again.

Well, either way, I mean, I’m gonna variate sometimes.

But generally, lately, I’ve been posting on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Sometimes, maybe it’s even gonna be slightly different than that.

But I mean, just like I said, when it comes to the lengths, take it as you get them.

But okay, so now I’m gonna go to this topic I was planning on really starting the show with, which is a narrative of different commercial shoe options and brands and even comparisons.

Okay, so like, I’m talking about like sports shoes.

I’m not talking about classy shoes.

And when it comes to those kinds of shoes, I’ll have to say my favorite is Nike.

And Nike is such a good brand.

They’re so comfortable, definitely.

But okay, I mean, there’s other things I want to say, obviously.

So I’m gonna continue on on that in a moment after this quick break.

So, on this break, I’m gonna say, Plain Bold Clothing, live life to the fullest.

What happened the last time you went to a party?

Well, on a great adventure, you’ll be the life of the party with Clothing Like Our Authentic Plain Goose Items.

You’ll get exuberant designs you’ll need.

So go to plainbold.com, that’s Plain Like Airplane, plainbold.com for clothing like that.

And you know, I call it Plain Goose for a reason.

I gave it that name.

If you want an explanation, go to the homepage and there is an explanation right there.

But either way, so, and that’s my clothing brand.

Okay, when it comes to shoes, yeah, Nike.

Nike is my favorite brand of shoes.

And yeah, it’s actually funny because they come in different price options.

And then there’s other aspects.

I mean, other aspects, including the fact, an interesting fact.

Nike is actually named after, like, Greek mythical goddess about, I mean, a victory.

So, that’s actually really cool.

So, I mean, it makes sense that, like, they name themselves after the Greek goddess of victory because they were saying, we are the ones that will make you victorious because we have the best.

And generally, when it comes to, like, their quality, like, I mean, comfort and just quality overall, yeah, they definitely are the number one out of all my experience because I’ve tried a few options throughout my life.

Well, there’s another aspect about Nike.

They do make their shoes in China in general.

So, like, I mean, they make them for, like, what, like, five, ten bucks for a pair of shoes.

And then they sell them over here for, like, in between, I don’t know, in Canada over here, we sell, it’s generally around, like, 80 bucks to, like, 500 bucks, maybe even more for, like, the exceptionally rare ones.

But generally around that range.

And they, they make them for, like, five, ten, maybe 20 at the most, and sell them for such extreme profit over here.

But, like, I mean, it’s like they operate slavery, labor camps, it’s like ridiculous.

So that’s the other side about the company.

But then, I mean, when it comes to the quality of shoes, they definitely are like some of the best shoes they can find, regardless of that kind of thing.

Then there’s Adidas.

Adidas is pretty good.

I mean, they’re like the top competitor to Nike.

The only thing is that their designs look a little, a little bit strange.

They don’t look as nice as the Nike type of style, with those three stripes.

I don’t know.

Me personally, I don’t really like that style, but some people actually do.

I know that.

But that’s just my own opinion, generally.

But still, Nike is still better when it comes to the comfort department, and even generally when it comes to quality overall.

But Adidas definitely is decently comfortable, and also pretty good quality.

One of the best, literally.

But then, I mean, then there’s other options like Filas.

Filas are really good, I mean, one of the best as well, but they’re a little bit lower priced.

And that makes a lot of sense, because, I mean, if you’re going to do business and you got competition, you got to go from different angles.

And Filas angle is, I mean, one of their big angles is price range.

Like they realize that, hey, if you don’t want to pay all that money for Nike, then come to us.

Fila, we got some decent shoes for better prices.

And that’s a really good strategy that they got over there.

And, I mean, it’s really worth it, because those shoes are really like one of the best out there, period.

I mean, when it comes to their competition at a lower price point, definitely.

I mean, also when it comes to the way they look, they look really cool.

Like, Filas are like one of the best designs, especially of the lower priced type competitors.

And there’s another couple points I’m going to make, and then switch topics after this quick break.

So, on this quick break, I’m going to say, we all love good workouts, look good wearing a quality Tim shirt from plainbowl.com.

Your workouts will be less effort since you’ll feel great, leading to less time spent.

And you’ll see the, I mean, you’ll see less risks.

You’ll be that guy everyone wants to befriend with.

I mean, once they see you with clothing items from plainbowl.com.

That’s Plain, like airplane.

plainbowl.com.

But, okay, to finish off on this new topic, there’s also Pumas.

Pumas are okay.

They’re like kind of like the lower end versions of Fila’s.

But, you know, I personally don’t really like Pumas, but some people kind of do.

That’s your own.

I mean, if you’re like that, then that’s your own personal preference.

But I personally feel like they’re like the lower end version of Fila’s.

So I don’t really like Pumas that much.

And then, of course, I mean, if I’m going to talk about shoes, I got to mention Reebok as well.

And Reebok’s like kind of like in between Fila’s and Adidas.

But you know what?

The way that I feel is that Nike’s are the best.

And if you’re going to get the best, well, you got two other similar options when it comes to like higher end.

And that’s Adidas and Reebok.

And personally, I don’t really care for Adidas or Reebok.

To me, it really comes down to Nike’s and then Fila’s.

But really, when it comes to Nike’s though, I got to go back to Nike, you know, because, yeah, they got shoes at like 80 bucks.

They got shoes at like 150 or 120.

And I’m talking Canadian dollars.

So, I mean, if you’re in America, then obviously like $100 Canadian is like 70 or so 72, 74 American.

So just like, I mean, if you can do math quickly in your head, then you can kind of understand these values.

But like from a Canadian perspective, that’s like 80 bucks for the lower end Nikes.

Then you got like around 150 for like decent, like pretty decent Nikes.

Then you got like Nikes at like 250.

Then you got Nikes at 300.

Then you got Nikes at 400.

Then you got Nikes at 500, like Jordans and Air Force’s Air Force’s are probably more like 250 ish.

But either way, those are like the higher ends.

But the point is that like, I mean, it’s like with Nike, it’s like funny because like the lower end ones like around 80, they’re not really good.

If you’re going to go for low end Nikes, then go for like something else like Adidas, Reebok or Fila, really.

When it comes to me, it would be Fila.

But like, I mean, otherwise like 150, that’s a pretty good shoe for Nike.

But then if you really want to go above that, you get like Air Force’s for around 200, 250 or so.

Like those are really good shoes, higher end shoes.

But then you can go for Jordans, and Jordans are like 300 to 500.

I mean, it all depends on how much money you got, because some people can’t afford that kind of price.

But I mean, if you got the money to spend on it, then why not?

I mean, those shoes are really high end.

I’ve had shoes like that, and they definitely were not disappointing.

But okay, that’s all I have to say when it comes to that.

And now I’m going to switch topics to this article that was titled US.

Tourist Arrested After Allegedly Attempting to Contact World’s Most Isolated Tribe.

And so I’m just going to start off on this topic and then continue on on it in the next episode.

And when it comes to this tribe, I mean, that this US.

Tourist got arrested for allegedly attempting to contact.

This tribe is known as the Sentinelese Tribe, and they’re in India.

Yeah, and well, really across the planet, there’s a hundred such isolated tribes actually, which is an interesting fact.

I mean, when I say isolated, I mean, like they’re literally like isolated, like there’s governments forcing like others, like tourists or even locals from coming to talk to them and also their own tribes, like literally will get hostile when they see people that are not a part of their tribe trying to come on their lands, like they literally try to kill you or attack you, throw spears at you, things like that, like they literally have a serious focus on like their whole thing about trying to isolate themselves from the rest of society.

And yeah, I mean, there’s a hundred such tribes on the planet.

But these Sentinelese tribes people in India are actually the most isolated tribe on the entire planet.

I mean, they’ve successfully, like, fully managed to prevent anyone from really contacting them, except with a few exceptions, which I’m going to get into a little bit in the next episode.

But really, I mean, they’re like the most isolated of them all.

And then the Indian government really has some serious laws, like protecting this tribe from being contacted from outsiders as well.

So, like, I mean, it’s like factors like that, that are also preventing people from getting in contact with them.

But OK, so now I’m going to finish off on this episode right here.

And I’m going to continue on on that topic in the next episode.

So either way, that’s the end of this episode.

Episode number 77 with me, your host, Phil Defiance.

And I’ll always say that I’m here to encourage the spread of intriguing knowledge that could spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world.

And till next time, have a good one.
