Welcome to The Electric Current Rundown podcast episode number 76, and I’m your host, Phil Defiance, and I’ll always say that I’m here to encourage the spread of intriguing knowledge that can spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world.
And what I’m going to be talking about in this episode includes a continuation of where I left off on the topic that came from an article that was titled South Carolina Man to be Executed in US by Firing Squad.
And then I’m going to talk about homelessness being popularized.
And then I’m going to talk about three signs you’re the toxic person in your workplace and what to do about it.
So okay, to continue on where I left off on the topic of South Carolina Man to be executed in US by Firing Squad.
Well, that actually happened.
The execution by Firing Squad in South Carolina did happen to that guy.
Well he deserved it for what he did.
I mean, murdering that woman and the family and all that.
Like I mentioned in the last episode, I gave you the more so like potent details about it.
But you can understand that’s some crazy stuff.
And he even pled guilty.
But, well, you know, that was the first like death penalty execution since 2010 in South Carolina.
And well, you know, it’s actually funny because the article that I got all this from was trying to say like, oh, it was the first death penalty.
I mean, no, sorry.
What I meant was like the death penalty like started again in 1976 and I mean in the United States.
Like they tried to make it sound like, oh, the death penalty was like eradicated from America for a long time.
And then it reemerged in 1976 because it never mentioned the year that it was disbanded or disallowed.
And so, I did my own liberty of looking that up and guess what?
The year that it was turned to become illegal was 1972.
So, it was an illegal practice for four years and then reinstated four years later in 1976.
Clearly, the article writer was against the death penalty.
And this is a funny thing because, I mean, the left, the liberals, they have changed a lot through the decades, but they still hold a few things that are consistent, and the death penalty is one of them.
So, clearly, this was due to the article writer’s bias against the death penalty.
And, I mean, regardless, like the way I feel is death by firing squad, well, I mean, if the state allows it, why not?
Plus, the guy literally chose that to be his form of death penalty.
He was given the option of, like, lethal injection, and he was fearing that that would be a lot more painful than they claimed it.
He didn’t trust it in those regards.
And so he said he’d rather have a quick, instant death by firing squad.
That’s what he chose.
So, I mean, what’s wrong with firing squad?
If somebody wants to die quickly, why not?
Because they’re not really trusting of those poisonous concoctions, like that guy.
But either way, I mean, that guy obviously was a bad person for what he did.
And the way that I feel about it is that I think that what’s wrong with the death penalty?
I mean, I’m in Canada and we don’t have it.
We probably had it like a long, long time ago and we haven’t had it for a long, long time.
But the way I feel is like in certain cases, especially it should be allowed.
I mean, I understand why it’s been around in America for almost all its history, except for that four year gap.
And I mean, like, I mean, it’s not like something that they’re using rampantly in America.
It’s like something that only happens once in a while.
Like, as I mentioned, even like it was the third death penalty since 2010 in South Carolina, for example.
I mean, if it was happening all the time, then it would be a lot more frequent wearing it.
But okay, so now I’m going to switch topics right after this quick break.
So on this quick break, I’m going to say everybody likes really good designs, as well as knowing their online order will come quickly.
Go to plainbowl.com to get the designs you desire.
Your order will come quick, like you expect.
And while you want quick delivery, you’ll have patience for your order.
Because when it does come, you’re going to have the kind of design you’ll love.
It will make you stand out, and people will notice, and you’ll love that.
Go to plainbowl.com, that’s plain like airplane, plainbowl.com for great designs just like that.
Check it out.
Go ahead and buy something.
I mean, if not today, then sometime in the future.
As I continue to improve the website, I mean, the store.
Like, I made a lot of progress, but I still am not 100% done.
But, I mean, it still is a place where you can buy items today if you want it.
But if you want to wait till I’m fully done on these, like, modifications and improvements, then go ahead and wait because I’m getting closer and closer to have done that too.
But, I mean, buying some of my stuff would help my operation, so that would be beautiful.
But, either way, so now I’m going to switch topics and I’m going to talk about homelessness being popularized.
So, I mean, what I’m going to talk about when it comes to that is, well, it’s kind of crazy because, I mean, a lot of thoughts come to my mind.
And I mean, think about these things.
Like for example, there’s like celebrities out there these days that look like homeless people.
I mean, these people are like billionaires or like multi hundred millionaires, like the artist Post Malone.
Like there’s like athletes that have like so many tattoos, it looks ridiculous.
Or like some actors that got big homeless man type style beards.
I mean, it’s like all over the place nowadays.
They’re like literally trying to make the homeless person look cool.
And like, I mean, it’s all connected to, I mean, like think about it, like, I mean, the left wing, like politicians and even the New World Order, they want you to, as Klaus Schwab, the head of the World Economic Forum put it, you will own nothing and be happy and look into that.
But like, I mean, that’s what they want.
They don’t want you to even have a house.
Or, if you’re going to have a house, live like a homeless person.
Like, remember a few episodes?
Okay, well, that was a lot of episodes back of my show.
That was probably episode number 20 or something.
The episode where I talked about micro apartments.
And if you haven’t been watching my show that long, then go ahead and go back to one of those early episodes right there and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Like, they want you to live in a little, like, homeless style, like, little, little house.
That’s what they want you to live in.
I mean, hey, a lot of people that are paying like normal rent are even living in small units these days in comparison to like, I mean, back like 30 years ago, people were living in bigger units, like when it comes to buildings.
Either way, like, then again, there’s a homeless, the real homeless people.
And like, I mean, it’s all connected to like drug culture too.
I mean, like they commercialized doing drugs, like more so than ever before.
Like places all over the United States have legalized weed in one shape or another.
The country, my country right here, Canada, literally legalized weed all across the entire country.
And like, there’s even like, places that are selling mushrooms, magic mushrooms legally in Canada, although it’s technically still illegal, but it’s still being allowed in like these dispensary type places.
They’re trying to legalize cocaine in Canada.
There’s been talk about that.
So like, I mean, this drug culture is like going bigger and bigger as the years go by and then so many people have died of fentanyl.
I mean, I’m 41 and trust me, I have so many friends that are six feet deep these days.
It’s ridiculous.
So many funerals.
I didn’t really go to the funerals because I don’t really like going to funerals.
It’s like a depressing thing.
But like, I mean, so many friends of mine have died and I wish they didn’t die.
And like, I mean, it’s all connected to the drug culture.
They commercialized it.
And then that’s also connected to the homeless culture.
I mean, I’ll talk more about drugs on another episode, but that’s directly connected to this.
So I had to bring that up too.
Okay, I’m going to continue on on that topic in a moment after this quick break.
And then I’m going to finish off the episode with the last topic.
But okay, on this quick break, I’m going to say music is essential.
So you love to dance, party, sing along with songs, and while doing many things, move and get in that groove, prove your love of music with music clothes from plainbold.com.
That’s plain, like there, plainbold.com.
But I mean, on top of like the drug aspect, like I mean, it’s just ridiculous.
I mean, I’m here in the city of Los Angeles, for example, they got Skid Row is out of this world.
It’s like an insane place.
I mean, it’s like a tent city like everywhere and people are on drugs everywhere.
San Francisco, like people are pooping everywhere.
Downtown Toronto, my city, people are pooping everywhere.
I mean, I was just at Kennedy Station, which is a main station in my part of Toronto.
And I saw this guy literally pooping right on the ground just the other day.
Like it’s disturbing seeing this stuff.
And okay, well, I mean, my parents’ neighborhood.
Yeah, that place is like right beside a forest.
And like seven years ago, there were like no tents in there, or maybe one.
One, that’s it.
But last year, I went into that forest and hanged out with a good old friend.
And if you’re actually watching this episode, then that’s cool.
You know who you are.
But regardless, so I was in there last year, and I was shocked because it was a tent city in there.
In this forest, I used to have like nobody or like maybe one guy in a tent.
Now there’s like 30 tents in there.
It’s happening all over Toronto and happening all over the big cities of North America, from what I hear.
It’s all connected because it’s also connected to what I’m saying.
They’re commercializing homelessness, commercializing what it looks like to be homeless with the big, big beards, the big quantities of tattoos, the big drug habits.
All this is all connected.
They want you homeless.
That’s what they want.
They want you to think that being homeless is cool.
They want you to live in a tent.
And I bet you a lot of these people that live in tents have college degrees.
Like, oh yeah, they probably got a big, big debt from that college degree, that college time that they spent.
They got out of college and what did they get?
They didn’t get no job for what they learnt.
So what did they do?
They got a big debt.
You know what?
They said, forget about it.
I’ll just live in a tent.
And that’s what they’re doing.
That’s what’s happening.
And because, I mean, look at, look at how many, how many of these people that are homeless these days.
A lot of them are younger people.
Not like, I mean, back in the day, a lot of homeless people were older.
But these days, a lot of the homeless are younger.
And you know what?
You heard me reading the scriptures, the other episode.
Yes, I mean, I view it like Jesus at the same time.
I feel sorry for the homeless, but I’m not rich.
I can’t give out money to help them.
I mean, if I did, I’d end up homeless myself.
So I mean, I do feel sorry for them.
But at the same time, it’s all connected to the fact that they’re commercializing homelessness.
I mean, if they weren’t commercializing it, maybe a lot of people wouldn’t be going homeless.
Because, you know, they’re making it seem like it’s a cool thing, especially in the summertime.
And then the winter, I mean, I guess they just are like, you know what?
Might as well continue.
I’m already homeless.
So they just go to the homeless shelter and they just continue on with it.
And just continue doing the drugs because that’s commercialized too.
I mean, this is just like ridiculous what’s going on.
They’ve totally devastated a whole generation, my generation.
So many people have died, like I mentioned, from the fentanyl.
I mean, this is ridiculous.
And people act like it’s not a problem.
Well, I’m sorry, but I miss my friends that died.
They didn’t have to die.
They shouldn’t have done those drugs.
They shouldn’t have done fentanyl.
I mean, they didn’t even know it was in there.
And that’s ridiculous.
And then living in tents, some people living in tents, that’s insane.
And it’s like making people, like, feel, like, disturbed when they go outside, like they’re worried, like maybe a homeless person is going to do something strange to me, especially to women.
I mean, like, definitely they’re getting creeped out by that kind of stuff.
I know it.
Obviously.
I mean, like, one other example was that in my parents’ neighborhood, like, about a year ago, there was a guy that was in a car.
He was just, my mom thought he was homeless.
And he was in the car and he was going into the forest.
And he kept going there and he was bringing supplies.
And then my mom checked out his car and well, he had like foul cabinets, foul cabinets.
Yeah.
And then like a few months later, there were 30 tents in that forest.
So, you know, I told my mom like, I think he might be a police officer or maybe connected to the government.
You know what, in hindsight, I really think what it was, was some kind of social worker that was like, he had the names of these, these homeless people, and he was setting up tents for them.
He was building the tents for these guys.
And like, that’s how they ended up with their tents.
He told them to go over there.
He gave them information of where to go to, and now they live in my forest, or the forest right there.
And that’s probably happening all over the city.
And not just this city, I bet you it’s happening in almost like probably dozens of cities all across the continent.
That’s what’s happening.
That’s what’s a result of homelessness now being cool, and drugs being cool.
Drugs that kill you.
Drugs that killed my friends.
That’s what’s, I mean, that’s how this happened.
That’s what really brought all this together.
I mean, it’s not cool to be homeless.
People shouldn’t be homeless.
It’s not a cool thing.
And you shouldn’t be doing drugs.
I mean, okay, maybe when you were maybe 27 up to that age or so, okay, you should go party.
Well, I mean, after that age, maybe you should wisen up and feel like, hey, I’m an adult and I don’t want to be homeless.
I mean, just because the media is telling me it’s cool, you shouldn’t listen to them.
Try to realize, hey, there could be a better way for me.
Why do I want to be homeless?
It’s ridiculous.
How’s that cool?
I have no idea.
But okay, so now I’m going to finish off the episode with three signs.
You’re the toxic person in your workplace.
And okay, well, I don’t got much time left.
I’m a little bit over.
I mean, I try to do these episodes like 15 minutes, like the first episode of the week, 10 minutes, the second episode, five minutes, the last one, and I’m already at 17 minutes and a half.
So, yeah, I do go over my limits.
That’s fine with me.
I guess you guys like it too, but either way, I mean, I’m trying to hit targets or at least get close to them.
So, okay, I’m gonna try to do this last topic a little bit quick since I spent more time than I feel like I should have.
But okay, so on that topic, three signs you’re the toxic person in your workplace, and what to do about it.
Like number one, you make everything about yourself.
Like if you’re in your workplace and all you do is make everything about yourself, like you’re creating a drama situation, like with your co-workers or your boss, like everything, like oh, you try to take recognition for other people’s work, or you just like are always creating drama connected to yourself, like that sounds pretty toxic, doesn’t it?
I mean, you shouldn’t, like you don’t want to be toxic, but like okay, I got other points too, but yeah, that’s one thing that you could try to avoid, and I would avoid myself.
But then there’s another thing, you say and do passive aggressive things.
Yeah, like I mean, maybe like you show a co-worker or something like you don’t really like them, but the next thing you know, you act like you like them, and then suddenly you’re like talking to a next co-worker without that person, and you’re talking about like that kind of stuff.
Like that’s kind of toxic.
Yeah, I could see the point in the article.
So I mean, that makes sense that it was pointed out.
And another thing was that you’re jealous of success of others.
I mean, me myself, I’m never jealous.
I’m not jealous of people.
And why would anybody be jealous?
But like, I mean, maybe if you’re a jealous person, maybe you should try to train yourself not to be jealous, especially at your own job.
I mean, it makes no sense.
But at the same time, I do want to say that, I mean, that article about like being toxic at the workplace is kind of BS in a way.
I mean, because although it did have some good points, though, I still have to say that like in general, if you want to excel at your job, I mean, if you’re not an entrepreneur and you just want to get better at your current job, like just don’t be an asshole.
I mean, oh, I didn’t mean to swear because I’m not trying to swear.
Just don’t be a mean person.
Don’t be rude to people.
That’s what it really comes down to.
But at the same time, those three points did have some kind of a point.
But like, I mean, I don’t really like the word toxic because it’s been corrupted.
But like, I mean, either way, like those were good points at the same time.
So I mean, if you don’t want to be looked at as some kind of a bad person at your job, try to avoid those three points.
I mean, maybe not fully, but at least somewhat try to do that.
And maybe you can improve your situation at work.
But either way, now the episode is done.
And that’s the end of this episode, episode number 76 with me, your host, Phil Defiance.
And I’ll always say that I’m here to encourage the spread of intriguing knowledge that could spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world.
And till next time, with me, your host, from The Electric Current Rundown podcast, me, your host, Phil Defiance.
Till next time, have a good one.
