Welcome to The Electric Current Rundown Podcast, episode number 35.
And I’m your host, Phil Defiance, and I’ll always say I’m here to encourage this spread of intriguing knowledge that can spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world.
And what I’m gonna be talking about in this episode includes a business perspective on some insights on aspects on what I’ve done in preparation and continued work for this podcast and my clothing store.
Some things that can give people inspiration for their own business endeavors or just general intriguing insights.
And well, the other thing that I’m gonna be talking about is a topic from my girlfriend about the moon and different aspects about it.
So let me get right into it on business perspective on some insights on aspects on what I’ve done in preparation and continued work for this podcast and clothing store.
To give you some insights, I mean, if you are running your own company or are creating your own company or if you don’t want to run a company and don’t run a company, maybe it’s just intriguing information.
So either way, I mean, like, I mean, when it comes to running a company in general, like you always got to aim for efficiency.
And like, I mean, when I first started this whole operation because I came up with the plan like around the end of 2023.
Like the thing was like I kept on tweaking my concepts, like my original plans were much different than what I ended up with.
And a lot of things just came out of left field and like I kept having to constantly adapt and change strategies and change plans.
And like, I mean, that’s just like key to success in any business really.
I mean, you gotta be ready for things that you weren’t expecting, things that you weren’t planning on happening.
Because I mean, that’s the thing about plans and that’s not just when it comes to business, it’s also in relation to anything that you’re planning.
I mean, plans often go astray, you know, like that book of Mice and Men.
I’m sure a lot of people know what I’m talking about when it comes to that book.
But like, I mean, it’s true, though.
Like, I mean, you never know.
I mean, just because you’re planning certain things a certain way doesn’t mean that it’s actually going to end up happening the exact way that you were thinking that they would.
But I’m going to continue on that in just a moment after this quick break from my clothing store.
So, on this break, I’m going to say at plainbowl.com, we have an expanding catalog of high-quality clothes and consumer goods.
If you want really cool-looking clothes or consumer goods, I mean, at low prices, check us out.
Go to plainbowl.com, that’s plain, like airplane, plainbowl.com.
So, I mean, really, so that’s what it’s really, what I’ve been going through, like to get this whole operation to where it’s at right now.
I mean, yeah, I mean, all the way from the beginning, all the way to now, there has been several things I wasn’t expecting and I kept having to adapt and change plans and improve on my methods.
And that’s exactly what anybody running a business has to do.
I mean, if you want to stay afloat, I mean, if your company has been around for a while or if you’re in the beginning processes of your operation or if you’re even planning a business, you got to make sure that, like, I mean, if things like surprise you, you got to adapt to it and you got to be smart about how you adapt.
And, like, I mean, that’s also another thing too.
Like, I mean, how did I end up in this situation?
What brought me to this whole, like, endeavor?
I mean, it’s like a few episodes back, like, maybe 15 episodes ago, I told you, like, my, like, I mean, a lot of the things that have happened to me throughout my adult life and what has really brought me here through the years.
And really, I mean, what I’m talking about here has a connection to that.
And if you want to see more of that information, you can go a few episodes back and see that.
But, I mean, that one, I titled something along the lines of my own life experiences.
But either way, I mean, so, like, I mean, the point is that, like, it’s all connected to, I mean, even connected to a self-help book I read about learning from your past failures and past mistakes and improving your strategies as an individual, leading you towards future success.
And that’s really what brought me to create this podcast as well as this clothing store that I have.
I mean, yeah, you should check that out, too, by the way.
But, like, really, I mean, that’s the point.
I learned from previous mistakes.
I had previous failures.
And so, like, I mean, I learned what I did wrong.
And so, like, I mean, that’s what brought me here.
I came up with these ideas based on my previous failures.
And so far, I’ve been getting decent growth.
I mean, my view numbers are growing.
So that’s a beautiful thing.
I mean, yeah, I haven’t really sold anything on my clothing store just yet.
But I’m sure, see, that’s another thing.
It’s a learning experience.
I mean, I was hoping to have made sales by now, but that’s fine.
I mean, eventually, I’m sure I will be.
And that’s the whole thing.
You got to stay positive.
That’s another thing.
I mean, if you’re running a company, you got to have that positive spirit, especially when you’re like a starting out company.
Like, I mean, just because you’re not making a lot of money today, you know that you see that potential to make that money tomorrow.
And you always got to stay positive and keep at it, because one day all that effort is going to pay off.
And that’s the key to business.
I mean, it’s so true.
And I mean, so all these things are related.
Like you got to learn from your previous mistakes, previous life experiences.
And I mean, that’s exactly what I’ve been going through.
And then a lot of people that, especially successful people, I’m sure they can attest to the same types of concepts, because it’s absolute facts.
I mean, you got to learn from previous mistakes.
And I mean, whenever you end up getting thrown some balls from left field, you got to be ready for that and adjust your plans.
I mean, it’s just so true.
And then another thing when it comes to businesses, like I even referenced it at the beginning of what I was talking about is efficiency.
I mean, like, I mean, even once you have some good things working out like a real proper, there’s always room for improvement.
You can notice it like as you end up doing the same thing over and over again, or like while you like have been doing things that have been working out, suddenly you start realizing, oh my God, you could actually do it even better.
And then you figure out a more efficient way of doing it.
But either way, I’m going to finish off on that topic.
I switch topics as I approach the end of this episode right after this quick break.
So on this quick break, I’m going to say today you go fishing at one spot in a year.
It may be a better spot.
You’re good today, but you could be a better fisher in a year or two, whether today or in a year or two.
Look good with quality fishing clothes from plainbowl.com.
That’s Plain, like airplane, plainbowl.com.
But yes, either way, like the last point I was making on that topic is like, yeah, you got to figure out, I mean, if you’re trying to run a company or if you’re planning on creating a company, I mean, you got to figure out ways you can improve your operation.
That’s a major factor as well.
And that’s what I’ve been experiencing in this absolute facts.
You always got to figure out ways to improve upon what you’re already doing and create more efficient ways of doing what you’ve been doing.
And then you could make your whole business like a bigger success or a success in the first place if you’re just starting out.
And that’s one of the biggest keys.
And that’s one of the biggest things I’ve learned so far, too, definitely.
And yeah, all those things are very good points.
And if you know somebody that’s really good at business, I’m sure they would fully agree with all the points I just made, but okay.
So, I’m gonna finish off this episode on this topic of a topic for my girlfriend, about the moon and different aspects of Bad Edge.
So, I mean, okay, like I just want to say, I mean, I’m a daytime person and I’m a nighttime person.
I don’t sleep too much except for around the end of Jan…
I mean, the end of December into January and February because of the winter solstice, and then the weeks before it, and the weeks after it, especially the weeks after it of January and February.
So, I mean, in those months, I do sleep a bit more than normal, but like throughout the rest of the year, I like both the daytime and nighttime, and I can do that because I don’t sleep a lot.
I mean, I accomplish more that way.
But when it comes to my love of the nighttime, I mean, of course, I love the daytime, I love that sunlight, but when it comes to the nighttime, I like that moon.
I like the moon.
The moon’s a nice thing.
It’s beautiful.
It’s beautiful in the sky.
I like looking at it.
And like a lot of people, I mean, some people do that.
They do moon gazing.
I mean, I don’t really like look at the moon, like for a long time, like as is implied with moon gazing, but I do like to look at it.
Like sometimes it is a beautiful thing in the sky.
I mean, created by God, so that we get some light in the night.
That’s the way it was written in the Bible, too.
It is a beautiful thing, though.
I really do like the moon.
But OK, so I’m going to continue on on that topic on my next episode.
And that’s the end of this episode, episode 35 of The Electric Current Rundown with me, your host, Phil Defiance.
And I’ll always say, I’m here to encourage the spread of intriguing knowledge that can spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world.
And till next time, have a good one.
