Welcome to The Electric Current Rundown podcast episode number 57.

And I’m your host, Phil Defiance, and I’ll always say I’m here to encourage the spread of intriguing knowledge that can spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world.

And what I’m going to be talking about in this quick five-minute episode includes two topics.

Not three, like I said in the end of my last episode, but the two topics I’m going to be talking about includes a continuation of where I left off on the topic of where’s our camera guy.

When Jamie Kennedy hosted a Catastrophic New Year’s Eve special, based on an article I read.

And then I’m going to talk about how Sir Alex Ferguson built his last great Manchester United side.

So to continue on where I left off on the topic of where’s our camera guy when Jamie Kennedy hosted a Catastrophic New Year’s Eve special.

It was a ridiculous situation.

It really was a funny one.

I’ll tell you that much.

I mean, from what I read, I mean, it even became like a viral thing, like footage of it.

It was that bad.

It was a horrible disaster for them.

I mean, the whole thing, like they had audio issues, like their audio kept cutting out.

It wasn’t timed right.

People were just getting absurdly drunk.

The crowd was like doing strange things too.

Like the entire thing was an absurdity.

Like, imagine seeing that on TV.

It just reminds me of things like even like Jerry Springer shows, like the worst ones that you could remember.

Like, what the hell?

And I can see why it became a viral sensation because it was literally like a horrible thing that they did.

I mean, they tried their best to make it good, but it turned out to be a horrible disaster for them.

No wonder it became viral.

And like, I mean, that’s what happens when you get too drunk.

I mean, yeah, New Year’s Eve, but come on.

And plus, I mean, the whole idea behind it was that they were like, oh, well, all these New Year’s Eve festivities, like TV specials, they’re in New York City.

And this was like, oh, we’re going to do one in Hollywood or in California.

So let’s do it.

Let’s try it.

And it just turned out to be a total disaster.

Like, I guess they were cursed by the fact that they weren’t doing it in New York.

Maybe that’s got something to do with it.

They jinxed it.

Who knows?

That could have been a part of it, right?

But okay, I’m going to finish off on that topic in a moment.

But I’m just going to go on this quick break right here at plainbowl.com.

No, actually, sorry, I’m going to say this.

But I mean, yeah, you can see why I’m laughing because it sounds like an absolute disaster.

I mean, I’m telling you, I mean, if you didn’t see this or hear about it, you might as well take a look further into it.

If you want to get a further laugh, I mean, I might as well post a link to it too, in the description of this episode right here.

So that, I mean, if you want to read more about it and laugh some more, then go ahead.

Yes.

So, I mean, it was just a horrible situation for them.

Like, I mean, I can’t believe they even messed up on the audio too.

They were messing up on the cameras as well.

And there was like just ridiculous situations that they were doing.

Like it was a complete disaster.

So, I mean, if you want a good laugh, then you should look into the article that I’m going to post about it.

But either way, I want to switch topics right now.

Okay, so on this topic, I’m going to talk about how Sir Alex Ferguson built his last great Manchester United side.

I mean, I’m not a huge fan of soccer, but during the World Cup, I definitely tune in.

I mean, I am three quarters German by ancestry.

Like I mentioned in a previous episode, so I mean, when it’s a World Cup, I definitely am interested in the German team, and I am part Hungarian, so I am interested in the Hungarian team too.

I mean, yes, and I also am interested in the United States team because Canada sucks.

Our soccer team just sucks.

So I mean, I have loyalty to both countries, like I mentioned in a previous episode.

I mean, I’ve traveled in both of them.

So of course, I love both places.

I mean, America is gorgeous and I’ve lived in Canada most of my life.

But yeah, I mean, the Canadian soccer team just sucks.

I mean, we don’t really get far, but the US team does get far.

So I root for them to during the World Cup.

I mean, I like all three of those, what I just mentioned, the German team, the Hungarian team and the US team.

But either way, I mean, okay, so like, I mean, I’m talking about like not the World Cup, and I don’t really watch this kind of stuff.

But like, I mean, some people do, it is pretty popular, and that’s like Manchester United.

I mean, if you like soccer, of course, you know that name.

That’s one of the big ones.

I’ve heard of it.

I mean, I have some friends that are big fans of soccer themselves.

I mean, I’m not one of them, but some of my friends are.

And so of course, I’ve heard that name before, and Alex Ferguson, he’s been like a famous coach in England.

I mean, of course, Manchester, that’s a part of England, right?

So like, I mean, sir, Alex Ferguson, he’s like been one of the most like famous English coaches in modern history.

And so, I mean, he really tried to get something really special done in this last great Manchester United side that I’m talking about, that I read about in an article.

But okay, so I’m going to continue on on that topic in the next episode because this episode is done right here.

That’s episode number 57 with me, your host, Phil Defiance, and I’ll always say that I’m here to encourage the spread of intriguing knowledge that can spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world right here on my podcast.

That’s The Electric Current Rundown.

So till, I mean, till next time, have a good one.
