And what I’m going to be talking about in this quick bonus five minute episode includes, I mean, a continuation of where I left off on the topic of seven high paying jobs most people don’t want.

And then I’m going to be talking about how an experiment to amplify light in hospital operating rooms led to the accidental invention of the snow globe.

So, okay, continuing on where I left off on the topic of seven high paying jobs most people don’t want.

Okay.

Well, other than gastroenterologists and fishermen, there’s also garbage men.

Yes.

I mean, it pays pretty good.

Yeah.

Right.

But I mean, like, it’s stinky.

Garbage is stinky.

How many people want to work with garbage?

It’s like a crazy job.

And like, I mean, it’s like high-paced.

If you’re not the driver, then you’re the guy at the back.

And like, next thing you know, you might fall off.

I mean, that’s kind of scary.

Like, not a lot of people want to do that kind of thing.

I mean, some people don’t mind, but the other aspect is the stinkiness.

I mean, garbage is stinky, especially in the summertime or spring or fall, especially summer, though.

I mean, that’s why people don’t want that kind of job.

I mean, it pays pretty good.

But like, yeah, it’s a pretty stinky job.

And dirty, too.

And then also on top of that, then there’s oil rig workers, which is highly dangerous.

But and like also, like people that start off in that industry don’t get paid way too high.

But even those people do get paid a decent amount.

But I mean, if you’re going to be in that industry for quite a while, you could end up paying.

I mean, getting paid a lot of money, a lot.

But like, I mean, not everybody ends up in those high paying positions.

But even if you don’t end up in the most high positions like that, like I’m not talking about management.

I’m talking about like, like high, highly skilled, like members of that community.

Those guys get paid like the most.

I forget their exact names.

But it’s like the higher level, high skilled members of that kind of trade.

But like, I mean, not everybody ends up in that position.

But then again, I mean, like a lot of people end up getting a lot of money, like after a few years.

So, I mean, even at the start, it’s like decent money, and then you end up making a lot.

But like, do you really want to risk your life?

That’s the other thing, similar to fishermen in Alaska and things like that.

Like I mentioned in the last episode, and even referenced right here.

But okay, so I’m going to continue on on that and switch topics as I finish off the episode.

I mean, being an oil rig worker is definitely a hard thing, but and dangerous.

But okay, there’s other things.

I mean, being an accountant, I mean, it’s a highly boring job dealing with all those numbers.

I mean, that’s like not just boring, but really hard, like flipping around numbers.

Like this is a lot of brain work.

I mean, all these jobs are a little bit hard.

But what I mean, these, I mean, just thinking about it, there’s no such thing as a truly easy job.

So I mean, but when it comes to being an accountant, it’s like you got to go to university or college.

And then it’s like really boring and dealing with numbers.

Not everybody wants to work with numbers.

Like that’s like a thing.

Like, I mean, mathematics isn’t like everybody’s thing, you know?

So that’s another aspect of it.

And that’s why it’s not a very popular job, but it’s pretty good money in it, if you want to get into it.

And okay, there’s also like a solid waste manager, which is similar to the idea of a garbage truck driver.

I mean, yeah, it’s solid waste.

It’s even worse than garbage truck actually.

You’re dealing with feces and urine, you know?

Like that’s not good at all.

Nobody wants, I mean, a lot of people don’t want to work in that.

Similar to even gastroenterologists, right?

With the colon and feces.

So yeah, I can see why a lot of people don’t want to work in that.

And then there’s truck drivers, because it’s like long hours, and you don’t get to see your family much.

You’re always driving on the road.

So I mean, those are jobs like that.

But either way, okay, I’m going to face off on this episode on the topic of the accidental invention.

I mean, okay, I’m talking, I read that improperly.

I went to the next line.

The topic is how an experiment to amplify light in hospital operating rooms led to the accidental invention of the snow globe.

And this was an article.

I mean, this was based on an article I read in around Christmas time to the snow globe.

But like, I mean, snow globes are pretty cool regardless.

It’s not just like something for Christmas.

I mean, some people even have like those kinds of globes that are like themed in different themes, not just Christmas.

But either way, I mean, just thinking about it, like, okay, so like, how did that even happen?

Well, I mean, it dates back to about 100 years ago.

Like this one guy that invented the snow globe, he was like a handyman in Germany or something around there, like a country around there.

I think it was Germany, but it may have been one of the neighboring countries.

And he like was tasked by like a hospital or like a doctor to like create a light that would assist them in their surgeries.

And so he created it with like these like sparkling things.

He thought that it would make, I mean, it would enhance the light so that it would help the doctors in the surgeries.

And it turned out that it wasn’t very practical for surgeries.

But then he realized, oh my god, that this actually, I mean, could have a potential another, I mean, another use.

And so he ended up coming up with the idea of the snow globe.

But either way, so I’m going to get on to the remainder of that topic on the next episode, because this is the end of this episode.
