Welcome to The Electric Current Rundown podcast episode number 15.
And I’m your host, Phil Defiance, and I’ll always say I’m here to encourage the spread of intriguing knowledge that can spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world.
And yeah, this is a five-minute quick bonus episode, as I’ve been doing lately, and I continue to do like this one right here.
And on this episode, I’m going to talk about these two topics, starting with the continuation of the last topic I talked about in the last episode, which was how some comfort foods may be making your stress levels to be worse, as you remember from the last one.
All right.
And then I also talked about where higher pay for teachers can go wrong.
Well, I mean, I’m going to talk about it, but OK, so like, I mean, on the topic to finish off on that topic about how comfort foods may be making your stress levels to be worse.
I mean, coffee, chocolate, like other comfort foods.
Yeah.
I mean, science now is showing that these kinds of things, I mean, initially may be making you feel a little bit better.
But then, I mean, the like sugar and other aspects of it can actually affect you negatively psychologically.
But, I mean, at the same time, I wanted to add, I mean, my own two cents on the subject, because it is a little bit funny when you think about it, kind of similar to what I was talking about with that one episode, a few episodes back, about how you can do a weekend workout.
It goes against common knowledge.
But, like, I mean, this is another one of those kinds of things.
But, I mean, at the same time, like, I mean, the way that I view it is that, like, everyone’s a little bit different.
So, I mean, yeah, it’s true.
I mean, obviously, there’s scientific research now showing this information about how, like, comfort foods can actually create stress on people.
But, like, I don’t think that it’s applicable to everyone.
But I’m just going to have another point on that and then switch to the next topic.
And I’m going to do that after this quick break.
And so on this break, I’m going to say when you buy items from plainbowl.com, you’re going to have the kind of design you’ll love.
It will make you stand out and people will notice and you’ll love that.
Go to plainbowl.com.
That’s plain, like airplane, plainbowl.com.
But anyway, so like what I’m really saying, though, is that it’s I think it depends on the person.
Like, I mean, sure, comfort foods because of sugar and things like that can actually have negative psychological effects on people, on some people anyway.
But I think that everyone’s a little different, and that’s just how I feel about it.
I mean, like, when it comes to chemical mixtures, how they affect the human psyche, I think it also has something to do with genes, because I mean, like, the human body, like, if you think about it, what are genes anyway?
They’re, like, chemical, like, level compounds.
Like, it’s, like, deep down at the chemical level.
So, like, I mean, so it depends on your genes, how you were born.
So I think it’s more than, like, this aspect or that aspect.
I think it just depends on the type of person you are, like, your genetic makeup and various factors also.
Like, maybe your attitude towards life, because some people are more positive, and some people are more negative.
But anyway, so, like, I mean, I’m just going to talk on this quick topic and then end the episode.
Like, the other topic is where higher pay for teachers can go wrong.
I mean, like, so there’s a funny situation where, like, they have this program in America that is made for people that are, like, in poverty or, like, not doing so well, like, poor.
And, like, I mean, it hasn’t been funded really well.
So, like, I mean, there’s teachers out there that are, like, a part of this program, and they’re, like, trying to make by.
And, like, I mean, so the Biden, the outgoing Biden administration tried to, like, help that situation.
But, like, I mean, there’s been, like, some surprising results with those kinds of things.
And plus, I mean, of course, these things are going to change a bit, obviously, with Trump.
But, like, I mean, like, even still, I found it to be quite fascinating what they were talking about on the information about it.
And I’m going to get more into that topic on the next episode.
But either way, that’s the end of this quick five-minute episode of The Electric Current Rundown with me, your host, Phil Defiance.
And I’ll always say I’m here to encourage the spread of intriguing knowledge that can spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world.
Till next time, stay tuned and have a good one.
