And what I’m going to be talking about in this episode includes general recent movie reviews with some explicit specifics.

And then I’m going to talk about a topic from my girlfriend, and that is 1960s and even 1980s furniture is really nice and better than nowadays.

And my related thoughts.

So okay, to start off on the topic of general recent movie reviews with some explicit specifics.

This is based, I mean, generally based on the concept of movies, like a lot of people like movies, even some movies that are made today.

And yeah, so that’s based on our, I mean, data sheet, really, about like topics for podcast episodes.

And it said to talk about movies, even movie reviews.

And so like, I mean, I thought about that and I was like, what can I really do?

Am I going to review one movie?

Or is it going to be like a bunch of them or what?

And then I realized, oh wow, the other day, actually, this is funny because, I mean, it was literally a few days ago.

So it’s like kind of like a godsend because it’s like a fresh memory.

Or through the last few weeks, especially including a few days ago, I’ve been watching a few newer movies.

And so it makes a lot of sense to talk about them in general, because I mean, it’s not like I’m going to get specific about exact movies, maybe one of them, maybe.

But like, I mean, other than that, I’m going to go more so general on like more newer movies.

Because like, I mean, the thing is that a lot of people agree to that, like, I mean, nowadays, a lot of the newer movies that they make aren’t really as good as the movies they used to make in the past.

But like, I mean, I’m going to get into specifics on some of the things I noticed in some of these newer movies.

And like, I mean, it was like a thing that’s been in my head, like, through the last few years, that I generally don’t like the newer movies.

But like, I mean, I saw actual newer movies just recently.

And I mean, I could fully see, like, specific things that, like, I could point to as to what I really don’t like about the newer movies that are made these days.

Like, there’s like some kind of a consistent theme I saw in a few of these newer movies.

Like, I mean, they were mixing, like, realistic story lines with, like, fantasy characters.

Like, I mean, it’s like, you know, like those Lord of the Rings type of movies where, I mean, like, it’s like people like, I don’t know, like elves or like, like things like that, like mutants, like things like that.

Like, they were, like, mixing mutants or things that are, like, fantasy characters with real life story type things, like in real life, like these days, like the modern world.

It’s like, it’s like really weird because you’d expect those kinds of characters to be in, you know, a movie like on a topic that’s like, kind of, you know, like the Lord of the Rings or things like that.

But instead, they’re mixing, like, reality with, like, characters like that.

And it’s just like, it’s like kind of strange.

I don’t know where they got this idea from.

Also, why is it that quite a few movies have that same kind of, like, thing going on?

That’s, I find that to be quite strange.

I mean, why don’t you try to be original, Hollywood?

Why are you guys all just doing the same kind of thing?

And there’s other examples.

But okay, I’m just going to go on a quick break, and then I’m going to get back to a topic.

And okay, so now I’m going to continue on on that movie topic.

Yeah, another type of movie that they make a lot, like way too much these days is superhero type movies.

And even those have like kind of fantasy kind of characters.

But it’s not the same kind of thing as I was just referencing.

But even that is similar.

And like they do way too much of that these days.

Like, I mean, I remember when I was a kid, they were doing superhero movies too.

Then that’s like in the 80s and 90s.

But like these days, it’s like way more.

It’s like the biggest name movies these days are all like superhero comic type movies.

And they’re overdoing that, but not just that.

They’re also doing this thing that I was just talking about with like fantasy characters mixed with real life type stuff.

And like, I mean, I even saw one movie that had like robots.

And it was like just like a strange thing.

Even that was like a really strange storyline.

And it also had like similar types of elements to those fantasy kinds of characters.

And one of the movies in particular was with Will Smith.

And he was like a police officer.

And I bet you some people that are watching this may even know what I’m talking about.

And I don’t know, I don’t know your personal opinion.

But I’m going to be real and tell you mine.

And this is how I feel.

Maybe if you like it, then to each his own.

But I feel like I don’t really like that kind of thing.

And I mean, there’s too many movies that have that kind of thing.

I’ve noticed it.

It’s like craziness.

And that’s one example.

I mean, I’ve seen Will Smith in a couple good movies in the past, but this one was like a little bit weird, especially because of that angle.

There were like elves in it, too.

Like, it just was a weird movie.

But yeah, and I’m just disappointed.

That’s just more evidence of why I don’t like newer movies.

It’s because of things like that.

And Hollywood’s just copying itself too much with things like that.

And yeah, Hollywood has really gone downhill in the last long time, like since like around 2015 or so.

And these are big examples of like the types of things that are connected to its downfall, really, or downhill slide, especially in my opinion.

I know a lot of people disagree.

I mean, they agree, I meant to say.

And it’s reflected in the fact that there’s a lot of, I mean, most popular movies these days, a lot of them, not all of them, but a lot of big name movies these days are actually made by Christian production houses.

And they have like wholesome values.

While the movies that are made straight from Hollywood are just like, kind of not making that much money in comparison.

So that’s a big factor too.

I mean, that’s proof right there, because like 15 years ago, that wasn’t the case.

Hollywood was a big name in the house.

And then suddenly ever since then, more recently as Hollywood went downhill a bit, a lot of these Christian companies like started emerging out of nowhere and starting really making more money.

So it’s all connected.

And you can see that in the numbers.

But okay, so I’m going to switch topics as I finish off on this episode of 10 minutes.

And so, okay, on the last topic of this episode, topic number two, I’m going to talk about a topic from my girlfriend about 1960s and even 1980s furniture and how it’s really nice and better than nowadays and related thoughts.

So, and I agree with her on the topic.

And I would even have to add, like, I even kind of like some furniture that was made in the 40s.

But yeah, the stuff that was made in the 80s and 60s, that’s some really good quality furniture.

And the furniture that they’re making these days, I don’t know, it’s not as good quality.

Like some of it is, it kind of rips easier or falls apart, breaks easier a little bit.

Other than that, it doesn’t look as good.

Some of the stuff that they make, well, actually, at least some of the stuff that they make nowadays actually is still comfortable though.

But I mean, other than the fact that it’s still a bit comfortable, I’ll have to say that it’s better quality when it comes to the 1960s and 1980s and even going back to the 1940s.

But the thing is that there’s another angle, the stuff that was made in the 60s and 80s, it had a unique look, the way that they built it together, it had its own unique style.

I personally really like the way that the stuff that they made back then looked, and the stuff that they’re making these days, it looks a little bit more basic.

I like that more pronounced look from the 60s and even 80s, and I could fully see why she, my girlfriend, she told me to talk about this, because I could fully agree with all of that, and that’s how I see it, and that’s kind of like how she sees it too, for similar reasons.
