Welcome to The Electric Current Rundown podcast, episode number two. I’m your host, Phil Defiance.

But I’ll always say I’m here to encourage the spread of intriguing knowledge that can spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world.

This is my regularly scheduled 15-minute episode, as you can see on my website, [invalid URL removed]. Yes, this is what I settled on. Every Tuesday, I’ll be posting a 15-minute episode on schedule, and then some weeks, I’ll be posting bonus episodes too.

So anyway, okay, well, the topics I’m going to be talking about on this episode include old Airship Aviation Technology making a comeback and how to lift a car and not get crushed. And also, I’m going to be talking about finances related to aging parents and different aspects of that.

Um, okay, anyway, so on the topic of old Airship Aviation Technology making a comeback…

Well, a lot of people remember hearing about the German Hindenburg disaster explosion that happened in 1937. Or if you’ve never heard of it, well, I mean, about 100 years ago, like there was an era of airships and blimps. Like, they were really the big thing until one day in Germany, there was a disaster, a big explosion to one of these blimps. Then all of a sudden, people were like getting sick and tired of them because they were afraid of them, I mean, after they heard about what happened with that.

But that was almost 100 years ago. Times have changed, and technology has improved. So today, at the beginning of 2025 (I mean, it’s about to happen anyway, like we’re in the last month almost of 2024 anyway), these days, there are some people putting in an effort to have airships and blimps make a comeback.

So, on that topic, I mean, of course, everybody’s heard of Google, and one of the founders of Google is Sergey Brin. Well, I mean, he doesn’t work with Google anymore, but, but, he’s obviously a billionaire, I mean, to be one of the founders of Google obviously he’s a billionaire. And so, I mean, like, it’s kind of like a hobby for him, like airships and blimps, like he really is into them. This is what I read, and him and a few investors are like really fueling a comeback in like blimps or airships.

So, I mean, for example, there’s like a big Airship Factory that was like around for like about 100 years in like California. Um, it’s gigantic, like from what I read, like gigantic. I mean, if you’re like around the building, I mean you barely can even comprehend that it’s even there because it’s like so humongous. But if you’re on the highway, you could actually see it. Other than that, I mean, it’s hard to comprehend, like I just said, I mean, that in itself is intriguing. But, I mean, like think about it though, I mean, like in a 100 Years, of course, like, I mean, the technology has improved by a lot, I mean, so like, I mean, it’s got to be like different. Nowadays, like, I mean, it’s not like going to explode like that crazy disaster like from a long time ago in Germany. And like, I mean, like some people have new interest in such a technology too, I mean, think about it too, like, I mean, of course, a lot of people have heard about like how Boeing airplanes have been like having serious problems, like they’re catching fire. It’s because of like Boeing has been going a little too green on that climate change type of thing, like they’re using plastic parts when they should be using metal like they used to be. And so their planes are like catching fire in the sky. So like, people are now wondering, like maybe there’s an alternative, maybe airships are better nowadays, I mean, because Boeing… I mean, I can’t believe what’s happening with them. But okay, so I’m going to continue talking about that right after this break.

But okay, so I’m going to continue talking about that right after this break. But um, on this break, I’m going to say this: everybody likes good designs as well as knowing their online order will come quickly. Go to planb.com to get the designs you desire. Your order will come quick, like you expect. And while you want quick delivery, you’ll have patience for your order because when it does come, you’re going to have the kind of design you’ll love. It will make you stand out, and people will notice and you’ll love that. Go to planb.com, that’s plain like airplane [invalid URL removed].

Airships:

Okay, so I mean, still on the topic of airships, I mean, so like, that’s fascinating, isn’t it? Like, I mean, I can only, I mean, I only wonder where they’re going to go with this, I mean, like either way, I mean, with a new technology that they got available, I mean, you can only imagine, like, I mean, they got new composite materials and new fuel technologies, so I mean, of course, I mean, airships made today have got to be like way different than the airships that they were making a 100 years ago. And like, I mean, either way, I mean, Boeing has got to improve, like what the hell happened to that company? So like, I mean, on both angles, things are funny, I mean, they got to improve the airplanes, and regardless, I mean, like airships are fascinating, but I don’t know if I’d ride any one. But it does sound pretty fascinating.

Lifting a Car Safely:

But okay, so now I’m going to switch topics to um, well, how to lift a car and not get crushed. So, this is based on an article that I read from like some serious mechanical like professionals, and like, I mean, they really explained it. I mean, of course, some people are really good with this stuff already, so, I mean, if you are, this may not really interest you, but if you aren’t, then this definitely could help you. I mean, if you want to do some work under your car, I mean, you want to know how to lift it up properly, I mean, for safety reasons, and just like, I mean, it’s important information, so I mean, I found the article to be really fascinating when it comes to that. I mean, it could be really helpful, so I mean, I’m not too mechanical myself, so I didn’t really remember too much information about it personally, but I mean, I did post a link about it, I mean, towards it, the article on my podcast post, on my website, on my YouTube video, and on my podcast post on the podcast platform. So, if you’re interested in that, you can go ahead and check that out. Um, and yeah, sometimes I’ll be doing that on my podcasts, like directing you to a link that you can get like that, and yeah, I mean, if you want to find information from some serious professionals, better go ahead, check it out, and go there, and then you’ll really get good information about it.

Finances and Aging Parents:

But okay, so now I’m going to switch topics again. This time, it’s about finances related to aging parents. Now think of how at ease you’ll feel after going through important conversations with your parents about retirement. Because such things are not usually things that are easy to talk about, but are definitely things that should be talked about. So I have a few tips on how to go about initiating and having such conversations with your parents.

So, um, well, you know, I mean, because it’s an important topic, of course. I mean, like, I mean retirement, like your parents, like, I mean, you love them, so, like, I mean, it’s very important, like, if you think about it. I mean, yeah, so, like, I mean, I got some tips on that, and, like, I mean, I’m about to get right into it. I mean, because, like, it’s very important to talk about such things. But, I mean, before I do that, I’m going to go on break and then get right back on the topic.

Um, so on this break, I’m going to say this: we all have a taste for things, like a tasty meal or a taste for good content. We’re inclined to seek such content. We have satisfaction finding it. If you want such content, skip the effort, look for currently electrifying videos, and you’ll be happy. If you haven’t seen our stuff, you’ll get a pleasant surprise. We make videos on various topics and do it with an informative and entertaining way. So check out currently electrifying videos on YouTube today.

And yeah, so okay, I mean, like, of course, I mean, when you think about your parents, like, on that topic, when you think about your parents, I mean, like, when you were a child or a toddler, I mean, back then, your parents weren’t that old yet. I mean, most people are that way. Most people’s parents were that way when they were toddlers. So, I mean, of course, like, most people, if you are like most people, when you were a toddler, you remember them, they weren’t that old yet.

But, of course, as the years went by, now they fully are, like, in their retirement, to they’re old, or, you know, is true. So, I mean, of course, I mean, this is a topic that’s important to talk about now. I mean, at the same time, I mean, as the years went by, now you’re getting a little bit older. I mean, you’re not that old just yet, but you are getting a little bit older. I mean, you may be in your late 20s or in your 30s or maybe in your 40s.

So, like, I mean, you too are probably thinking or starting to think about your future retirement. I mean, a lot of people are like in those age groups, and it makes a lot of sense. I mean, like, even a retirement agent will tell you that, and I’m not telling you to get a retirement plan, but, I mean, like, it makes sense to think about that, like, when you do end up retiring. So, I mean, that’s a great conversation starter about the topic with your parents, because, like, I mean, you can relate. I mean, you can say, like, “I mean, Mom, Dad, I’m thinking about my future retirement,” and then you can, like, move forward into the topic of their retirement. So, it’s a really smart way to get into that topic.

And, like, I mean, then from there, you could talk about things like, I mean, like, what happens if they end up having a heart attack or a stroke or some medical emergency and they survive, and then what, like, what’s going to happen then, right? I mean, that’s an important topic, definitely. And then what about if they die? I mean, that also is important to talk about, like, things like money and then other things as well. So all those things are important. And also, there’s a possibility that they might get lucky and they may live a few more decades or a couple more decades in, like, really good health. I mean, some people end up that way, right, like, in their 90s, and they’re still doing pretty good, like, no stroke, no heart attack, still thinking sharp. I mean, I’ve seen people like that, like, even my Grandma, she’s like around 90, she’s like that. So, I mean, like, different people are different, and if your parents end up in that situation where they, like, are in pretty good shape in their 90s and on, like, beyond that, um, even then, you want to plan ahead. I mean, if they’re in their 70s right now, like, you still want to plan ahead. If they’re lucky and they’re still in good health a couple decades from now, you want to make sure that they can enjoy their retirement, like, regardless, like, whether they have a bad situation with health or they have a good one, you want to really plan ahead for all of that, regardless of the scenario. And so, it’s important to talk about these kinds of topics with them. And so, like, I mean, of course, I mean, it makes a lot of sense what I said, I mean, to have it all begin with that topic of your own retirement and then building it into those topics that I just mentioned. It makes so much sense, right? So, this was helpful information for you, of course.

But either way, I mean, now I’m done with that, and so I’m basically done with the episode, like, almost done right here. Yeah, I mean, like, this is Electric Current Rundown, and I’m ending episode number three with, and it’s my show, Phil Defiance. I’m your host, obviously.

And yeah, I mean, I’ll always say I’m here to encourage the spread of intriguing knowledge that can spark fires in the minds of those seeking inspiration and truly improving the world. And yeah, I mean, like, so watch out for my future episodes. I mean, every Tuesday, I’m doing a 15-minute episode. That’s my schedule.

And then, other than that, I’m going to be doing bonus episodes pretty much almost every week. But some weeks I may not do a bonus episode, and I may just do that one episode on the Tuesday, that 15-minute episode, at the very least. But some weeks I may do two bonus episodes or at least one. So, it’ll vary like that. But there will always be that 15-minute episode every Tuesday.

Either way, stay tuned for my future episodes to get more good content like this from me, Phil the Finance, on the Electric Current Rundown. Well, that’s it for this episode, though. Have a good one.
